Jay H. Sandak, Founding Partner of the Stamford, CT law firm, Sandak, Hennessey & Greco, LLP, has practiced in Connecticut for more than thirty-five years. He has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts in personal injury and commercial litigation including professional liability, land use, complex condemnation, business torts and intellectual property cases. His trial skills form a solid foundation for him when he serves as a private Mediator and Arbitrator. He is a Fellow of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, a member of the Association of Attorney Mediators and a member of the American Arbitration Association Panel of Neutrals. He has and continues to serve as a Special Master for the U.S. Federal District Court of Connecticut and the Connecticut Superior Court negotiating settlements where he has served for almost twenty years.

His litigation background has been supplemented by serving as Corporation Counsel for the City of Stamford and representing multiple municipal police unions in grievance and unfair labor practice proceedings. He holds a B.A. degree from Colby College (1964) and J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law (1971). Before starting private practice, he was a law clerk at the United States Court of Claims, Washington, D.C. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut, U.S. Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He enjoys an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in the Best Lawyers in American 2007 and 2008 in the area of commercial litigation, and listed in New England SuperLawyers 2008, 2009 and 2010 in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including being listed in Connecticut Magazine SuperLawyers 2010 as being one of the Top 50 Attorneys in Connecticut.
